G/On 5.6

G/On 5.6 is the first release of G/On following Excitor's acquisition of Giritech in early 2012. The most significant new capabilities in G/On 5.6 are:

Version 5.6.1-6 released on September 24, 2013 contains the following key enhancements:

• Support for Citrix XenApp 6
• Fixed a Citrix reconnect issue on Windows 8
• Fixed instability issues of the G/On Gateway Server
• Improved support for WebDAV access
• Improved support for DME AppBox
• Improved sorting options in G/On Management Reports

Version 5.6.2-2 released on April 7, 2014 contains the following key enhancements:

• Support for the Microsoft Remote Desktop app from the Mac App Store
• Updated versions of application client packages
• Fix for delay issue on Mac OS X Maverics
• Field enrollment on Linux (G/On OS)
• Improvements and bug fixes to HTTP and SOCKS proxies
• Support for RDP servers with SHA-256 signed certificates

Hotfix for all G/On 5.4, 5.5, 5.6 and 5.7 versions, fixing an error regarding access to LDAP servers over SSL/TLS, that may arise after installing certain Microsoft updates

Hotfix for for all G/On 5.6 versions used as AppBox Server for Excitor DME.
This Hotfix addresses the SSLv3 "Poodle" vulnerability CVE-2014-3566.
This vulnerability only occurs when G/On is used as AppBox server for Excitor DME.
Important: Apply this hotfix after the DME Server has been reconfigured (see Excitor
Service Bulletin no. 36 for more info).

Hotfix for all G/On 5.6 versions, fixing an issue regarding authorizations

that did not take effect for AD/LDAP groups with non-ascii names.

Cummulative Hotfix for G/On 5.6.1-13, fixing the OpenSSL "heartbleed"

vulnerability CVE-2014-0160, and OpenSSL vulnerability CVE-2014-0224.

Important: The use of the G/On product by itself is not affected by these vulnerabilities.

The vulnerabilities can only come into play when using DME AppBox.

Due to an unrelated change in the communication between the Gateway

server and Management server, it is necessary also to patch the Management server.

The necessary files are included in the zip file.
