Application Authorization and User Management

The G/On Management tool enables IT administrators to manage Authentication Policies and Authorization Policies. Authorization Policies defines which applications users have access to when they are authenticated.

The configuration is typically done by integrating G/On with user directory (like Microsoft Active Directory (AD) or any LDAP compliant user directory) and using the existing group definitions already defined in the user directory.

G/On is not only a secure access solution. It is an integrated tool for the management and implementation of access policies and compliance. G/On can be configured to give a user or a group of users one set of applications when they connect from company owned PCs, and a different set of applications if they use their G/On USB Token to connect from an unknown PC. For instance, users may be allowed to use their locally installed Outlook on their company laptop and connect securely through G/On to synchronize mail, calendar and contacts to their laptop. However, if they connect from an unknown PC they get a locked down Terminal Server session with access to mail but with no options for copy/paste of information and without attach/detach options.

As an all-in-one, integrated solution, G/On is a cost effective solution that gives users the flexibility to connect directly to applications when they need to and provides your company a tool to manage and implement its security policies.
