Arlington, Virginia, November 17, 2008: Giritech announced today that the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has commenced roll out of Giritech’s innovative remote access solution, G/On.
Deployment of G/On follows the conclusion of a successful pilot project and will provide secure remote access initially for 1,500 SEC employees and external contractors. Giritech’s certified partner, MicroTech, LLC was the G/On supplier.
G/On provides users end-to-end secure remote access to their applications from their home PC’s or other PC’s through a single software product. G/On’s innovative and patented USB based connectivity and authentication device enables users to connect from any PC that has a USB port and is connected to the Internet. G/On does not require installation of software on the PC and contrary to traditional VPN based solutions ─ the PC does not become part of the network. Consequently, G/On eliminates numerous end point security issues
