Four G/On Solutions:
Giritech offers four different G/On solutions designed specifically to maximize value at low cost for customers with specialized infrastructures:
- G/On for RDP: Secure Remote Desktop access to office PC's, virtual desktops, and Terminal Server farms
- G/On for Citrix: Secure access to Citrix farms *)
- G/On for Web Apps: Secure access to web servers for web-mail, portals, intranets, and other web applications or one, "complete" solution for customers with a mix of these infrastructures:
- G/On: Secure access to office PC, virtual desktops, Terminal Server farms, Citrix farms and web servers
*) Citrix is currently not supported on iOS
The solutions are licensed by the number of users by acquiring User Access Licenses for each infrastructure:
- UAL RDP - number of users for RDP
- UAL CITRIX - number of users for Citrix
- UAL WEB - number of users for Web Apps
- UAL - number of users for RDP, Citrix, and Web Apps
Special solutions can be built by "mixing and matching" user licenses with number of users for each infrastructure.
All user licenses (UAL's) include one (1) Token Access License (TAL) for one authentication token per user. Users with more than one token, for instance a G/On USB and an iPhone, will need additional Token Access Licenses - one for each additional token.
In addition to the three specific infrastructures, G/On also includes support for transparent TCP connectivity for securing generic TCP connectivity.
G/On 5.5 License Agreement
The licensing of G/On is governed by the G/On 5.5 End User License Agreement (EULA).

In addition to the initial licensing of the G/On 5 product, Giritech offers an Annual Maintenance Agreement. This Maintenance Agreement has a first year mandatory subscription with the initial purchase of G/On and all subsequent purchases within the first year of licensing. Customers will receive annual notifications of the renewals of their Maintenance Agreement and these will be renewed automatically unless Customer specifically asks for it to be cancelled. Cancelled Maintenance Agreements can be reinstated for a fee in addition to the cost of the retroactive activation of the Maintenance Agreement.
The Giritech Maintenance Agreement covers:
- Licensing of all major and minor updates and releases of Customers’ licensed G/On 5 version. New Main versions are not covered by the maintenance agreement and new added functionality may require separate licensing.
- Access to Giritech’s online support tools and discussion forums
Access to downloads, software updates and new release
G/On version identification consists of three numbers: G/On X.Y.Z, where ”X” is the Main version number that designates specific generations of G/On and the underlying technology. ”Y” designates major releases of a version and a new major release will typically include new functionality. ”Z” designates a minor release – or maintenance release - and a new minor release is typically focused at smaller fixes or updates of existing functionality.
The Maintenance Agreement includes e-mail support directly from Giritech unless provided by Giritech Partner. The cost of installation and implementation of new releases and updates of G/On is not covered by the maintenance agreement. These services along with telephone support and training are provided by Giritech Partners or directly by Giritech through a separate services agreement.
G/On 5 Authentication Tokens
Separate from the G/On 5 license itself customers buy the special G/On 5 Authentication Tokens that are manufactured specifically for G/On 5.
Giritech warrants the G/On 5 Token hardware product against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for the Warranty Period, which begins on the date of purchase by the original end-user purchaser and lasts for twelve (12) months. This limited warranty is non-transferable and extends only to the original end-user purchaser. Your exclusive remedy and Giritech’s entire liability under this limited warranty will be for Giritech, at its option, to (a) repair the G/On 5 Token with new or refurbished parts, (b) replace the G/On 5 Token with a reasonably available equivalent new or refurbished G/On 5 Token, or (c) refund the purchase price of the G/On 5 Token less any rebates. Any repaired or replaced G/On 5 Token will be warranted for the remainder of the original Warranty Period or thirty (30) days, whichever is longer. All G/On 5 Tokens and parts that are replaced become the property of Giritech.
Exclusions and Limitations
This limited warranty does not apply if: (a) the G/On 5 Token has been altered or modified, except by Giritech, (b) the G/On 5 Token damage was caused by use with non-Giritech products, (c) the G/On 5 Token has been subjected to abnormal physical or electrical stress, misuse, negligence, or accident, (d ) the serial number on the G/On 5 Token has been altered, defaced, or removed, or (e) the G/On 5 Token is supplied or licensed for beta, evaluation, testing or demonstration purposes for which Giritech does not charge a purchase price or license fee. ALL SOFTWARE PROVIDED BY GIRITECH WITH THE G/ON 5 TOKEN, WHETHER FACTORY LOADED ON THE G/ON 5 TOKEN OR CONTAINED ON MEDIA ACCOMPANYING THE G/ON 5 TOKEN, IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. Without limiting the foregoing, Giritech does not warrant that the operation of the G/On 5 Token or software will be uninterrupted or error free. The G/On 5 Token may include or be bundled with third party software or service offerings. This limited warranty shall not apply to such third party software or service offerings. This limited warranty does not guarantee any continued availability of a third party’s service for which this G/On 5 Token’s use or operation may require. TO THE EXTENT NOT PROHIBITED BY LAW, ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD. ALL OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED CONDITIONS, REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF NON-INFRINGEMENT, ARE DISCLAIMED. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary by jurisdiction. TO THE EXTENT NOT PROHIBITED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL GIRITECH BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOST DATA, REVENUE OR PROFIT, OR FOR SPECIAL, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PRODUCT (INCLUDING ANY SOFTWARE), EVEN IF GIRITECH HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT WILL GIRITECH’S LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE G/ON TOKEN. The foregoing limitations will apply even if any warranty or remedy provided under this limited warranty fails of its essential purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
Obtaining Warranty Service
If you have a question about your G/On 5 Token or experience a problem with it, please go to our support site where you will find a variety of online support tools and information to assist you with your G/On 5 Token. If the G/On 5 Token proves defective during the Warranty Period, contact Your Giritech Partner or Giritech International for instructions on how to obtain warranty service. Please provide your G/On License number and the G/On 5 Token serial number and proof of purchase on hand when calling. A DATED PROOF OF ORIGINAL PURCHASE IS REQUIRED TO PROCESS WARRANTY CLAIMS. If you are requested to return your G/On Token, you are responsible for properly packaging and shipping your G/On 5 Token to Giritech at your cost and risk. Do not include any other items with the G/On 5 Token you are returning to Giritech. Defective G/On 5 Tokens’s covered by this limited warranty will be repaired or replaced and returned to you without charge. Customers outside Denmark are responsible for all shipping and handling charges, custom duties, VAT and other associated taxes and charges. Repairs or replacements not covered under this limited warranty will be subject to charge at Giritech’s then-current rates.

This limited warranty is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Product was purchased by you.
