Giritech Awarded FIPS 140-2 Validation
The awarding of FIPS validation to Giritech confirms its solution, G/On, as the most innovative product on the market for end-to-end secure remote access.
Copenhagen, August 30, 2007: Giritech, an innovative IT company specializing in secure Internet communication, has been awarded FIPS 140-2 validation for the core security components of its remote access solution, G/On. The FIPS validation confirms Giritech’s strong commitment to deliver solutions that are compliant with the strict security requirements of the US Government. G/On is a complete, end-to-end solution built on patented technology that combines application connectivity with integrated security components such as 2-factor mutual authentication, virtual end points, 256 AES encryption, a single port reverse proxy and application connector.

FIPS 140-2 (Federal Information Processing Standards) define standards for the cryptography deployed in solutions for secure communication. Giritech’s cryptographic solution has been tested in 11 different areas to validate the fundamental architecture of the solution and its implementation. Giritech is the first Danish company to receive such validation and it puts Giritech amongst global players such as RSA Security, Cisco, Sun, and IBM. Globally, there are only 838 FIPS-validated solutions.
